Strike Threat For BA

The ongoing feud between BA and its cabin crew workers has reached boiling point as a massive 78% have voted in favour of a proposed strike, the ballot was ordered after the first vote was deemed void and the high court ordered the workers to call off a strike planned over christmas.

Out of the 9631 people that voted an overwhelming 7482 voted in favour of industrial action over pay and working conditions. The ballot carried out by Unite revealed that 78% of the ballot papers were returned in the landslide result.

Unite however have refused to reveal any possible strike dates and are still hoping to resolve its issues with BA, but BA insisted "we will not let Unite ruin this company, Should a strike take place, we will do everything we can to protect our customers travel plans as far as possible."

If your planning on flying with BA in the naer future you should check with the operator before you travel any more news on the situation will also be posted here.
